Unemployment numbers are very important when judging the politcal and economics of this country

Quite simple when the unemployment rate goes up then usually the political majority is removed.

If you think these numbers are not important well you are mistaken. Policy is driven by the amount of employed.

What I would really like to see is the true numbers, numbers that reflect what a person was making to what he is making at his "new" job.

Also the real number wall street was looking for on Friday to see if the economy is getting better is the number of new non farm payroll jobs created each month. They were expecting 150,000 new jobs in December but were shock when the number came in at only 1,000, missed by 140,000 OUCH !

Unemployment number is not a good measure since people who's benefits have run out dont count toward that number.
